Have you ever wondered about colour and its meaning and impact on your life? Is there a particular colour that means a lot to you or keeps making itself felt in your life? Would you like to learn more about colour theory and the benefits of having more colour in your life?
This course is all about colour, finding your inner creativity and combining the two. We will discover your own ‘soul’ colours as well as design and colour a Mandala which could be a group discussion piece.
My colour courses begin with a Colour Walk in which we become absorbed and truly aware of the colours that surround us. We bring ‘pieces’ of colour back to the studio where we’ll enjoy free-painting to music using all the colours we have found. This gives us a base and encourages to the student (and tutor!) to be ‘in tune’ with colour for the rest of the course.
We will spend time discussing and exploring colour theory, discovering our feelings and meanings behind colour.
We will paint abstractly using layering and intuition to lay down colour and texture as your whim takes you. Further we will paint from local scenery or reference material and experiment by de-constructing and reconstructing your paintings - just for fun!
This course is very suitable for beginners or equally more advanced students.
